Spring Reverbs for Ableton Live and any Convolution Reverb Plug-in!

I love the sound of a nice spring reverb. I have two guitar amps that have spring reverbs, a Supro Amulet and a Fender Deluxe. Each has their own personality.

I thought it would be fun to be able to run any sounds, not just guitars, through this reverb. In order to do so, I recorded Impulse Responses that can be loaded into any Convolution Reverb Plug-in.

If you have Ableton Live Suite, I’ve made Hybrid Reverb presets that recreate the Supro Amulet and the Fender Deluxe spring reverbs.

Putting the Spring in Spring Reverb! 🦜

To make these spring reverbs more “Spring,” I recorded birds chirping outside on a beautiful spring morning. I blended the birds with the amplifier samples to create Supro Bird-Verb and Fender Bird-Verb impulse responses. It creates some fun effects and sort of sparkling chirpy sounds in the tail (no pun intended) of the reverb.
