Everywhere we go, we are surrounded by sound. Every sound we hear has potential to become music.

Over the last 12 years, I’be been building sample-based instruments from all kinds of sounds. Sometimes I have a pretty good idea of what the result will be, but often I’m surprised at what I hear.

Many of my favorite creations come from sounds that aren’t musical at all.

For this collection of Ableton Live Instruments, I decided to sample sounds I encounter every day.

Household tools, squeaky doors and chairs, electronic beeps, my dog’s voice, my voice, interference sounds, and many more make their way into the Everyday Sounds Ableton Live Pack.
